Lancashire Day Performers

Ella Shaw, Gabz and Mr Zip from Britain’s Got Talent and Brooke Layla from The Kids Voice are coming to Nelson. They will be giving performances at the Nelson Town Council Annual Lancashire Day Event on Saturday 25th November from 11:00am in Nelson Town Centre. It’s free to attend and all performances are free of charge to watch.
Other Acts throughout the day will be Nelson Brass Band who are providing friendly 4th section contesting band music. Phil Knight and Friends singing traditional Lancashire Folk songs. Cotton, a captivating exploration of life in a Lancashire mill though dance, music and clogging. The Dirty Suns, a local band with a huge following and the Barrowford St. Thomas school choir.
There are free fairground rides for the kids along with free facepainting. There’s a free mini train ride, games and stalls, with hook-a-duck and other fairground games. There will be stalls offering traditional Lancashire goodies and food and refreshements.
The event will end with the Christmas Light switch on at 6:15pm, come along and see the news Christmas Decorations in the Town Centre and join us for a wonderful family event that just gets bigger and bigger each year.

Lancashire Day is the
county day of
historic Lancashire in
England. It is held on 27 November to commemorate the day in 1295 when Lancashire first sent representatives to Parliament, to attend the
Model Parliament of
King Edward I. Lancashire Day was first held in 1996.
