Unity Wellbeing Centre Official Opening

The Unity Wellbeing Centre was officially opened on 18th March 2017- by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Commons Rt.Hon. Lindsay Hoyle MP along with the Chair Sajid Ali and Vice Chair Zafar Ali of Nelson Town Council
The event was attended by the former MP of Nelson Lord Dough Hoyle, the honourable Mayor of Pendle, County Councillors Azhar Ali and Mohammed Iqbal along with colleagues from the Lancashire Environment Fund and Lancashire County Council.
The opening saw local residents, young and old, join in with the celebrations of the opening of the wellbeing centre which promises a new era of health and wellbeing community initiatives for Nelson.
The Unity Wellbeing Centre (formerly known as Unity Hall) was bought by Nelson Town Council for £1 from Pendle Borough Council.
A Special thanks goes to the Unity Hall working group along with the expertise of Azhar Ali and Callico (who will take care of the management of the centre), the Lancashire Environment Fund team and Lancashire County Council.
