Nelson Town Council is seeking the services of a Handyman/woman to act as a contractor to the Council on a self employed basis and providing services on an average basis with a maximum of 20 hours per week over 48 weeks. An hourly rate of £9.50 will be paid.
The successful contractor, who will provide his or her own transport, telephone, tools, equipment and insurance, will be required to carry out hanging basket watering, winter gritting, basic maintenance work, small scale improvements in Nelson and transporting and erecting Council equipment for events. Ideally, he or she will live locally.
The contract will be for an initial period of 1 year but terminable upon one month’s notice.
