Free Swimming

Having worked hard with County Councillors Azhar Ali and Mohammed Iqbal – the Chair and Vice Chair of Nelson Town Council are delighted to announce FREE SWIMMING for children of primary school age (5 to 11 years) living in NELSON for all the school holidays up to March 2018.

“Health and Wellbeing is an important topic in Nelson. I am proud we have secured the required funding to have free swimming for the children of Nelson.” Chairman Nelson Town Council- Sajid Ali.

“We recently supported Nelson Football Club in their community sponsorship package. This latest project is equally as important to ensure children in Nelson develop good physical and mental health in their early years.” Vice Chairman Nelson Town Council- Zafar Ali.

Funding has been secured until 2018 through the help of County Councillor Azhar Ali (cabinet member for Health and Wellbeing).
