Eid Mubarak 2018 from Nelson Town Council!

On behalf of everybody at Nelson Town Council, the Chairman- Cllr. Zafar Ali, wishes everyone in Nelson, Pendle and across the world celebrating the festivities of Eid-ul-Adha a very happy Eid Mubarak. Muslims will be celebrating Eid Ul Adha with their families today and tomorrow. Eid Ul-Adha, also known as The Festival of Sacrifice or 'Big Eid,' also coincides with the end of the Hajj pilgrimage (one of the five pillars of Islam). Cllr. Nazeem Hayat, Vice-Chair, Nelson Town Council added- "Eid is a time of joy and happiness for Muslims. It's always great to see our diverse community in Nelson celebrate Eid."
